HARVARD ART LAB X LPCE

Putting art-thinking in entrepreneurship on the map at Harvard

I was approached by the Harvard Art Lab to design and facilitate a working group alongside the Lehman Program on Creativity and Entrepreneurship that investigated the question “How might we design a hybrid practice between art and business here at Harvard?”

Across a series of digital workshops that blended art-thinking and design-thinking methodologies, leaders from both programs aligned critical questions and impact goals to unearth collective approaches toward “artist” and “entrepreneur” learning from one another’s practices.

These sessions resulted in the creation of the Art+ event series which invited diverse practitioners into dialogue around the ways art and creativity inspire experimental and innovative approaches to tackling complex challenges. Each virtual event concluded with an ideation session designed to prepare Harvard students to take the lead in solving global challenges by fostering art and entrepreneurial thinking.

The collaboration also laid the foundation for the Art Lab’s Works in Progress podcast, exploring the impact of artists creating the conditions for the Arts to flourish at Harvard.
